About Us![]() Lumber in the air-drying yard (prior to kiln drying). Note the precise placement of the stacking sticks, the first step in producing a straight, flat product. After 20 years in the lumber industry with a focus on figured and specialty domestic lumber, we were blessed to procure our current commercial site in Culpeper and build a 13,000 square foot warehouse in 2007. Our focus subsequently broadened to include a full line of domestic species for both professional and hobby woodworkers. As from the start, our focus is on the customer. You are our reason for being in business. We pledge to serve you with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to personalized service. If the customer is our commercial raison d’être, then the lumber is our passion; translating into lumber of extraordinary quality. We visit sawmills on a regular basis buying kiln-dried & hand selected green lumber throughout the Appalachian region (sometimes even further). We are especially proud of our curly maple, Pennsylvania cherry, and unsteamed Black Walnut. New items that we are beginning to source include quartersawn poplar, quartersawn sycamore, & quartersawn white oak. This is in addition, of course, to our line of standard domestic species. |
