Welcome to C.P. Johnson Lumber

1st Annual  OPEN  HOUSE  & Customer Appreciation Day:  Saturday June 29,  all day!   Rain or Shine

Come on by Saturday 29 June for an old-fashioned customer appreciation day.  All lumber will be on sale 10% off and we’ll have numerous lots of deeply discounted premium woodworking lumber.  The grill will be going with burgers and dogs, so come by for lunch on us.   We like good food here at CP Johnson, so no Costco trays will be served.   How ’bout a local grass-fed burger with Havarti cheese or some sharp Wisconsin Artisanal cheddar?  You get the picture.   This event will go on rain or shine.

We are your best source in the region for premium, kiln-dried hardwood lumber.  From the basics such as poplar, red oak, etc.. to the hard to find specialties, you can count on us to deliver consistent quality and value.   Many years experience in the hardwood industry has given us the insider contacts and specialized knowledge  to provide what our customers call the best lumber around.   Please allow us to put this expertise to work for you.   Whether you a professional who requires matched lumber for a high-end commission, or  a hobbyist new to woodworking , we are the place!

Good stewardship of all the resources entrusted to us is a governing precept here at CP Johnson Lumber; we like to call this principal Common Sense Green.  That means reducing and recycling whenever possible to conserve resources (and save money), and sourcing locally whenever practicable.    In keeping with this sensibility, much of our lumber is procured from  local sources in Culpeper, Madison, Fauquier, Rappahannock  and the surrounding counties.  Examples would be Eastern red cedar, the oaks, poplar, sycamore, ambrosia maple, walnut, etc…
